According to Skysports, Julio Arca has agreed to take a pay cut in order to stay with Championship outfit Middlesbrough. Sources close to the deal confirmed to skysports.com that the Argentinean had agreed a 'significant' pay cut.
The former Sunderland star, who looked on his way out of the club last week, has received approaches from a number of English and overseas clubs, including Boca Juniors back in his homeland.
But Boro are now close to extending the 30 year olds stay on a two-year deal.
