Middle East sponsors for Man City women

Manchester City's women's team will be sponsored by Aabar Investments as part of a new deal announced on Monday, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Abu Dhabi's Aabar will sponsor the team's pre-season training camp in Dubai and have a 'range of matchday advertising' at the club's new 7,000-capacity Academy Stadium where the team plays its home games.

Aabar, a subsidiary of International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC), will also sponsor Manchester City's community pitch at its new City Football Academy complex.

Manchester City Women's FC are currently in Abu Dhabi, preparing for the new Women's Super League season.

"Manchester City Women are continuing to grow both on and off the field and today's announcement of a new partnership with Aabar, a global company with an outstanding reputation, is evidence of this," said Tom Glick, Manchester City's chief business officer.

"Our women's team are extremely proud to have the opportunity to visit Abu Dhabi and see first-hand the fantastic local support that Manchester City has across the United Arab Emirates."

His Excellency Khadem Al Qubaisi, the chairman of Aabar Investments, added: "Aabar Investments is delighted to extend its support of Manchester City to include Manchester City Women's Football Club, in line with our commitment to empowering female athletes here in the UAE and globally."
