Mexico national team veteran Antonio Naelson, or 'Sinha', is being linked with a move to MLS this summer.
The 34-year old Toluca star was close to a move away from his homeland at the end of last season but nothing ever eventuated.
Now there are fresh reports that the Brazilian-born midfielder could be headed either to Chicago Fire or Houston Dynamo in the middle of this year with the player himself telling Record.com that there is considerable interest.
"Actually yes I have referred, and from what I've seen, from what I've heard from friends who are there are very good things, both football and living standards, and we together as a family yes we have referred to," read a translation of his quotes.
"Personally, I see a very strong league, and has dramatically increased its level, in addition, the United States is a good country to live in.
"The places that interest me are Chicago and Houston, mainly because my wife has family there and she is also interested.
"In fact, the person is driving this issue, I said Chicago Fire might not have a budget now, but keep moving."
