Metalist Kharkiv coach Myron Markevich is impressed by Newcastle United's continental recruiting.

Toon are seemingly now famous all over Europe for signing almost every footballer in France.

Markevich said: "There should be no doubt this is an English team we are playing.

"The French players will help, but it's an English team and it will be a great pleasure for us to play against them."

He added: "I like the Newcastle team. This is a European team which is speedy. They have a European style and I like this style of play."
