Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi has signed a three-year endorsement deal with a Dutch scooter company, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Messi will put his name to one of Dutch firm Easy2 Company's Space Scooter models.
Like all 'Space Scooters', the new Messi Space Scooter will be propelled through a patented technology that involves the user bouncing up and down on the scooter tray to drive a chain connected to the wheels.
Messi already has endorsement deals in place with the likes of Adidas, Gillette, WeChat, Ooredoo, and Samsung.
Easy2 Company, whose managing director Joost Blom claims that "Messi and his nephews are already riding the scooters themselves," will launch the new Messi Space Scooter in June.
The company also intends to distribute free scooters in districts and projects supported by Messi's charitable foundation.
