Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker insists they can pleased with their scratchy win over West Bromwich Albion.
Mertesacker was delighted to get back to winning ways and wants the team to build up momentum ahead of the Christmas period.
"It's a different mood than after the Swansea game," he told Arsenal Player. "Everybody is happy that we had this win today. We deserved it because we took the initiative from the beginning. We wanted it today and you could see this on the pitch.
"It was a fantastic win for us to [get] a little bit of confidence back. I think we have climbed the league table. That's the beginning. We have to keep on going like this. That's very vital for the next few weeks.
"We want to climb up the table. In this period, you have to win these games. December is very busy for us during the Christmas period. Let's see how [well] we can cope with the situation. It's good to have this game now. We could see we are ready. We want to do it and we want to behave as a team."
