West Brom defender Aboulaye Meite is facing a new battle at the Hawthorns.

With the Baggies wrapping up a Bosman deal for Atletico Madrid defender Pablo Ibanez, this will push Meite further down the pecking order with Jonas Olsson and Tamas firmly in possession of first team slots.

Meite was axed by Sven Goran Eriksson from Senegal's World Cup squad yesterday.
