Bolton Wanderers are keen to tie up deals for three of their senior players.
The Bolton News says Matt Taylor has already confirmed that he will top-up his current deal by 12 months and the club are optimistic that Gary Cahill and club skipper Kevin Davies will soon follow suit.
Both players have been subject to some transfer speculation this summer but manager Gary Megson insists they remain key figures in his efforts to move the club forward.
He said: "Certainly, the ones that play week-in, week-out play to a really high standard and they're the ones we want to tie down and make sure they stay at Bolton Wanderers Football Club."
