Meeting Guardiola in Champions League holds no fears for Man City boss Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini is not fazed regarding the potential Champions League matchup against his Manchester City successor Pep Guardiola.

City are in a very good position to seal their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League following their 3-1 away victory over Dynamo Kiev and there is a possibility that the Citizens could come up against incoming manager Guardiola's Bayern Munich in the next round.

City incumbent Pellegrini has been pondering the possibility of facing Guardiola and has stated that he does not fear the prospective meeting against his successor.

The Chilean said: "Facing him would not be a problem, no. First of all, we have to see the draw. If we have to play against Bayern Munich, then we have already played against them in the last two seasons.

"We will play in exactly the same way, thinking about the present and not thinking about the future, and trying to continue to the next stage. I, maybe, have some options on which is the best team I'd like to play in the next round, although first we need to qualify.

"If we do it, of course, I think there are best teams or worse teams. All of them are very good but I prefer to avoid two or three teams, although I won't tell you which ones. You can guess!"
