Athletic Bilbao have awarded their broadcast rights for next season to Mediapro, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. Club president Josu Urrutia said the contract is a "significant improvement" on the current deal, which expires in June and is thought to be worth 32 million (US$36.7 million).
Spanish media reports speculate that the new one-year agreement is worth 39 million (US$44.7 million).
In September 2013, after a long-running legal dispute, Mediapro agreed to pay Bilbao 11 million in outstanding rights payments relating to a deal agreed between the two parties two years earlier.
