Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has declared his team good enough to beat the drop.
McLeish said: "From what I've seen from these players, I am confident they can compete with anybody. They can compete.
"I'm not saying they will beat everybody but I feel they've got the spirit and determination and no little skill. They've also shown at times that they can strut their stuff quality-wise also like in the second half of the game at Tottenham.
"You've just got to manage things as best as you can and get the best out of the players. My job is to get the best out of the players at my disposal and if I do that, then I'll be able to sleep at night.
"I've not been unhappy with the performances at all and even the chances we've created.
"It's frustrating we haven't converted some of the chances but if we keep making them, I am confident people like Garry O'Connor and Christian Benitez will get goals."
