McGowan makes debut as Hearts romp to victory

Ryan McGowan made his Scottish Premier League debut for Heart of Midlothian on Saturday.

The 21-year old Australian U20 international came on in the 78th minute as Hearts romped to a 4-0 win over Hamilton Academical at New Douglas Park.

A product of the South Australian Sports Institute Football Program, McGowan joined Hearts in 2006 and has been a strong presence in the U19 and reserves team for the past few seasons.

Last term, he enjoyed a loan spell with First Division club Ayr United and now has a first team appearance in the top flight to boast.
