McGoldrick interested in switching Ipswich for Leicester berth

ChampionshipIpswich Town striker David McGoldrick has said he would have been interested in a move to Leicester in the summer. "I wouldn't say my head was turned. I wasn't banging doors or demanding to move," he told BBC Radio Suffolk.

"But in a job where you have an offer to better your career, you're going to be thinking about it."

The lure of joining the Foxes in the top flight was an appealing one for the Republic of Ireland international.

"Leicester is near home, it's the Premier League, one of my best mates Wes Morgan plays for them," the 26 year old added.

. "If you got offered a job as a top reporter, you would think about it.

"It would have been a good move for me, but it didn't go through. I never once spat my dummy out and I've knuckled down."
