McCulloch delighted with Rangers decision

Rangers midfielder Lee McCulloch admits getting away from Wigan Athletic in the summer has turned out to be the right decision.

"I would never have had a chance to play in the Champions League at my previous club, so it is a massive step forward for me," he told The Herald. "Reaching the last 16 would top everything else I have achieved.

"The Champions League is regarded as the best club competition in the world and it is great to be involved in it. It would be a great achievement if we qualified for the knockout stage, especially considering the group we are in, but we are still miles away from that at the moment."
