Rangers boss Ally McCoist says he does not know too much about reports suggesting QPR had made an offer for Nikica Jelavic.

The Croatian international has attracted plenty of interest from Premier League clubs in recent months and it is believed that the R's had made a written offer for his services but McCoist insists he is unaware of any contact.

"I can't tell you about the Jelavic one, unfortunately, because it's very much news to me," he said after last night's Old Firm less to Celtic.

"Someone from the club mentioned it in passing before kick-off, which was frankly all I needed, but they said it was just rumour."
