Rangers boss Ally McCoist was left to rue his side's inability to put St Mirren away at Ibrox on the weekend.
The reigning Scottish champions hit the front early in the second half when Nikica Jelavic netted his fifth league goal of the campaign but failed to go further ahead and were left to pay the price when Buddies winger Gary Teale equalised late to make it 1-1.
The draw denied Rangers the chance to go 12 points clear of Old Firm rivals Celtic, who drew 3-3 at Kilmarnock, and McCoist was frustrated with how his side's profligacy dented their winning hopes.
"I don't think we played particularly well over the 90 minutes and when we got the goal, we always felt we could get another but it didn't come," McCoist said.
"Make no mistake, we had chances to add to the 1-0 lead we had and when you don't do that, you always run the risk of giving up a chance.
"We did that towards the end and we lost a really, really sloppy goal so there's a little bit of frustration at that and a big bit of disappointment.
"We can play a lot better than we did today. We did quite well at the start of the second half but didn't kick on the way I hoped we would.
"St Mirren deserve credit for the way they played but I have to look at things from our point of view and I'd have to say I'm not a happy man tonight."
