Rangers boss Ally McCoist was happy with his side's performance in yesterday's Scottish Cup fourth round win over Arbroath.
'Gers cruised past the second division club 4-0 at Gayfield Park with David Healy, a Craig Wedderburn own-goal, Nikica Jelavic and Salim Kerkar on the scoresheet and the progression through to the next phase was welcomed by McCoist.
"Nobody was going to pat us on the back if we got a good result but there would've been plenty to say if things hadn't gone according to plan.
"The players' attitude was first class and in the end we were deserved winners.""I told the boys beforehand the result was all that mattered," he said.
