Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren is eager to clearout his fringe players.

The Evening Chronicle says the Magpies are believed to have told Yoan Gouffran, Haris Vuckic and Mike Williamson they also won't be assured a regular game this term.

Vuckic fancies a move back to Glasgow Rangers, where he spent last season on loan, while Gouffran has been offered around Ligue 1 clubs by his agent.

There has also been interest in Williamson from Brighton & Hove Albion, but the player has recently made it clear his first choice is to battle for his place.
