McClaren, Bradley make Hull contact

Former Newcastle United boss Steve McClaren is keen on the Hull City job.

The Daily Mail says McClaren and ex-USA coach Bob Bradley have declared an interest. However, the club drew up a list of targets before Steve Bruce quit last week and it is those they will attempt to persuade to join before speaking to any other applicants.

They hope to have the new man in place before the end of next week.

Caretaker Mike Phelan would like to continue in the role and he is being consulted over transfer targets. It is likely he will remain at the club even if another boss is installed.
