Motherwell manager Stuart McCall was furious with his players after they fell 1-0 to second-bottom St Mirren at home on Wednesday.
The Steelmen produced a dismal performance, undoing their great work that supplied them with wins over Aberdeen and Hamilton in the past week.
McCall admitted his side deserved to get nothing from the game, describing it as an 'unacceptable' showing.
"We got what we deserved, absolutely nothing," McCall said.
"In the first half you could tell they were fighting for their lives. They were the hungrier side.
"It seemed like an end-of-season game for our players and I couldn't understand why. It's certainly not acceptable, they let themselves down."
