James McArthur has hailed the form of Crystal Palace defender Brede Hangeland.
The former Norway international has been tipped to scoop Palace's player-of-the-month award for September after a series of top displays, against Manchester City, Tottenham, Charlton and Watford.
"Brede has been brilliant, absolutely," said McArthur to the Croydon Advertiser.
"For someone older as well, I think every young boy looking up to a professional, Brede is there as the model.
"If he doesn't play he keeps working hard and does everything right, then when he does come in – like he has in the last three or four games – he's been outstanding and one of the best players on the pitch.
"I think the last couple of clean sheets, he has done really well."
