Former Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Jon Maxted is being eyed up by QPR as a potential replacement for Alex McCarthy.

McCarthy is currently being courted by Premier League side Crystal Palace and there is a distinct possibility that the Englishman could leave Loftus Road this summer.

If indeed McCarthy does leave, QPR are already said to have made contingency plans by eyeing a move for recently-released Doncaster keeper Maxted.
