Bayern Munich great Lothar Matthaus admits he's tired of the saga around Robert Lewandowski and Barcelona.
The situation is about to reach a crunch moment with Bayern to fly out for their preseason tour of the US tomorrow. Lewandowski is reluctant to be part of the squad as he pushes to join Barca.
Matthaus said: "I wish the theatre around Robert Lewandowski would end quickly. It's annoying, it hurts the team, it hurts the club. The team suffers from the situation, they comment on it. It damages the structure of the team.
"With a player as worthy as Robert, I'd sit down at the table and look for the best solution. I don't see a big difference in the approach of Barcelona and Lewandowski of how things were at Bayern with Mané and now they could be with De Ligt: the club and the interested players find a solution, that is clearly communicated. And then the clubs find a solution."
