Matildas midfielder Heather Garriock has signed a deal to move to the US.

The 26-year old will join Chicago Red Stars in the inaugural season of the Women's Professional Soccer league.

Garriock will leave Sydney FC to complete her dream move, following two other Australian women in Collette McCallum and Sarah Walsh who were also signed by American clubs.

"It's an absolute dream come true for me to continue my career in the United States, playing with and against some of the best players in the world," said Garriock.
