Matilda Alagich waltzes for the last time!

The 29-year-old will play in her 86th and final match for her country when Australia host New Zealand at the North Sydney Oval.

"I want to enjoy the game as much as possible, and make sure we beat New Zealand as we've never lost to them," she said.

"I've always loved playing in the green and gold and this game will be no exception."

Aligach made her international debut at the age of 16 against Norway and has been a mainstay of the Australian women's football team for the past 13 years.

"I'm quite sad to be retiring from the Matildas, but I also know it's the right decision," said Aligach. "But there comes a time when the body can't take the extra rigours required of top flight international competition and that time is now for me."
