Nemanja Matic featured for Chelsea in their friendly win over Ipswich at Cobham yesterday.
Summer signing Matic played 45 minutes while Ashley Cole and Paulo Ferreira both completed the entire 90 minutes, but it was Daniel Sturridge who grabbed the attention with a sublime hat-trick, while Fabio Borini and Jeffrey Bruma completed the scoring, the latter with an excellent free-kick.
"We were good individually which is what Carlo Ancelotti is looking for, with players wanting to put a challenge on, but also good very collectively," coach Steve Holland told chelseafc.com.
"Obviously the highlight is Danny's hat-trick, and our all-round attacking play was very good.
"There are big gaps in the calendar so these games are important, Ipswich were excellent, well-organised and made it a quick-paced game that both sides will have benefited from."
