Nemanja Matic is targeting victory in the Community Shield over Arsenal on Sunday to show that the Blues mean business ahead of the new season.

Matic featured during Chelsea's undefeated pre-season tour of the United States and having now returned to London, is setting his sights on laying down a marker with victory at Wembley on Sunday.

The Serbian midfielder said: "We´ll be ready for Arsenal. We know what we have to expect. It´s always a special game when you play at Wembley and we´ll be ready for sure.

"We are ready for next season and I hope we start well with a trophy and we will try to show our quality in the first game."

"Of course against champions everyone has a special motivation and wants to win, but we are ready for that and we believe in our quality."
