The father of Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is full of praise for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu.

Juan Mata Snr is Salisu's agent, with the young Ghanaian linked with United earlier this season.

With the summer transfer window approaching, Mata Snr has talked up the 21-year-old.

“Salisu is another very young African discovery, which this year is being the sensation of La Liga because at only 20 years old, 1.90m, left-handed [footed], and playing centre back in this category is not easy," he said.

“The truth is that I think this may be his window [to leave], because interests have arisen from many clubs, and he deserves it."
