Mason Springthorpe is beginning to shine for Everton U21s.

The young goalkeeper was snapped up 12 months ago from Scunthorpe United.

Springthorpe impressed in victory over Chelsea and coach Alan Stubbs told evertontv: "Mason made a couple of important stops and got down once or twice to make some strong one-handed saves.

"They were ones I would expect him to make but it's easy for me saying that - he's still got to do it. He did well."
