Ryan Mason admits he's eyeing the Tottenham captaincy.
The midfielder is a first-choice for Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.
"It would be an honour, I believe if I improve in the way I want to and cement my place in the coming years then I hope it will come one day," Mason told the London Evening Standard.
"I'm 23 and as I've said before, I'm not a kid. I'm the sort of player who's very vocal on the pitch and in the changing room. I'm not one of the younger lads so I do feel I have to take on a responsibility in the changing room.
"A lot of captains are centre-backs or central midfield players. I'm not getting carried away because there is a lot of work to be done but I would love to wear the armband at White Hart Lane."
