Martinez keen to upgrade Everton's Finch Farm

Everton boss Roberto Martinez wants to improve the club's facilities.

Martinez wants their Finch Farm training ground further developed despite it only being opened in 2007.

The Spaniard is keen for bedrooms to be built on site to allow players to rest between training sessions and also stay there before games.

Any investment into club infrastructure for development can be written off to help the club stay within the Financial Fair Play guidelines.

Martinez said: "We need bedrooms here for the first team and then the option to get the digs for the young players to get it on site as well.

"We are two pitches short and we need to have a full size indoor facility for all the age groups. The demands every season change and you need to be up to date."
