Roberto Martinez was full of praise for his Everton side after they produced an inspiring comeback to beat West Bromwich Albion on Monday night.
The Toffees came from two goals down to win 3-2 at The Hawthorns thanks to a brace from Romelu Lukaku and the manner of the fightback was something that sits well with Martinez ahead of the weekend's Merseyside derby with Liverpool.
"Our first-half performance wasn't up to our normal level," said the Spaniard.
"We then took responsibility and the reaction was fantastic.
"We are happy that we have won the game and we want to take this momentum into the derby."
Goals from Saido Berahino and Craig Dawson had the Toffees reeling after 54 minutes but Lukaku's double, either side of Arouna Kone's equalising goal, saw the visitors wrap up maximum points to take home with them to Goodison Park.
