Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says there has been a slight setback in the development of a new training facility for the club but insists it will be worth the wait at the end of the day.
The Latics are set to have a significant upgrade to their training facilities at Christopher Park and although it is now about eight months away, Martinez excited about the possibilities ahead.
"We have had a bit of a setback in terms of the timescale we expected but we are well on with what we want to do," the Spaniard said.
"We are close to finalising the paperwork with the training ground.
"It is going to take between six and eight months to get the new buildings.
"We are really excited. The training ground is an important part of the football club and it is going to be a big part of the legacy of Wigan Athletic. "
