Martial can match Man Utd goalscoring record against Crystal Palace

Anthony Martial can match a Manchester United goalscoring record against Crystal Palace this weekend.

The Independent reports Martial will equal records set by Ruud van Nistelrooy, Eric Cantona and Cristiano Ronaldo if he scores in United's Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The France striker has been on the score-sheet in his last five domestic league games for United and he will join an elite list of players who have scored in six successive games for the club if he finds the target at Old Trafford this weekend.

While the prolific Dutch hit-man Van Nistelrooy holds the record for scoring in the most consecutive Premier League games for United after scoring in ten games across the end of the 2002/03 season and the start of the 2003/04 season, Martial has confirmed his return to form with his burst of goals in recent weeks.
