Marseille defender Gael Givet is on the verge of becoming a Blackburn Rovers player.

The out of favour centre back has been frustrated by a lack of opportunity this season under coach Eric Gerets and has been seeking a new home in recent times.

It seems his wish is about to come true as stated by Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo.

"Givet's move to Blackburn is about to be done," Anigo told French radio station RMC.
