Olympique Marseille president Pablo Longoria has played down talk of selling Matteo Guendouzi.
The France midfielder, formerly of Arsenal, has been linked with Aston Villa, where former Gunners manager Unai Emery is now in charge.
But Marseille chief Longoria insists a deal for Villa to sign Guendouzi is not close as it stands.
He said: “I've read the information in the press like you.
"There are no talks between clubs, we haven't received an offer. I don't know if there are discussions with the player's entourage. It's only speculation."
