Marseille fans have strong message for Chelsea icon Drogba…

Olympique Marseille supporters have told Didier Drogba, in no uncertain terms, that he is not welcome back at the club.

The Ivory Coast great has always spoken of his love for the club he rose to prominence with back in 2003/04.

However, Les Phoceens are not about to open the door for any type of comeback for the Chelsea great who has been implored to return to China, where he once played with Shanghai Shenhua in 2012/13.

A large banner, held up prior to kick-off of Sunday's 4-1 home loss to Dijon, read: 'Drogba, stop saying you love L'OM, you make in a month what we won't earn in a lifetime.

'Stop feeling sorry for yourself and go back to China.'

Manager Rudi Garcia also believes that what Drogba would feel a romantic return, may not work for the Ligue 1 club.

"It's true that he was a fantastic player here. But I think that sometimes you have to just leave the great experiences as they are," said Garcia.

38-year-old Drogba is without a club after leaving MLS outfit Montreal Impact at the culmination of the 2016 season.
