Chelsea midfielder Mikel John Obi will have to take a massive pay-cut if he is to join Marseille.

The Nigeria international will leave Chelsea when his deal expires in June, but is hoping for parity on his current wages.

Le 10 Sport says Obi may've been in contact with OM, but it's unlikely he'll drop his demands from his current €4 million salary.

Instead, the midfielder's future is likely to lay in China

Obi hasn't ruled out leave Chelsea in January, having yet to play for the first team this season.
