Jordan Ayew will not be joining Reading on loan with Marseille keen to keep him in France.

The 20-year old striker was being linked with both Reading and French outfit Brest but it is believed that Marseille said they did not want to send him out on loan.

Royals boss Brian McDermott wanted Ayew on a temporary deal but Marseille were keen for him to depart permanently with a Stade Velodrome stay now a likely scenario.
