Marsch hails young pair for stunning Leeds win at Liverpool

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch hailed his young players for victory at Liverpool.

Leeds won 2-1 thanks to a dramatic late winner from Crysencio Summerville.

On Summerville, Marsch said: "We're working with him on his discipline and his understanding of what being a professional footballer means. I like young players. I'm really happy but we have to make sure he realises this is just the beginning."

Goalkeeper Ilan Meslier also impressed and his manager said: "Illan [Meslier] was really good. He looked stable, he looked strong. We needed big performances from all 11 guys in all moments."

Marsch continued: "It was necessary to stop the bleeding. We need to enjoy the moment but focus heavily on getting the job done next weekend [at home to Bournemouth].

"We just have to be ready and dig in and fight for everything all season long. I think we've shown moments of improvement. We're just trying to let us have bigger chunks of the match where we can show what we can be like, what we can play like. That's what'll determine how successful we will be."
