Markus Neumayr has no Man Utd regrets: I turned down Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal

German midfielder Markus Neumayr has spoken of his time with Manchester United.

Neumayr has lifted the lid on his decision to join Manchester United over Arsenal as a youngster.

Neumayr joined Manchester United in 2003 from Eintracht Frankfurt and spent three seasons at Old Trafford, although he never made an appearance for the Red Devils.

But he doesn't regret snubbing Chelsea, Arsenal and Barcelona to make the move to Manchester.

"Manchester United scouts were keeping tabs on my at the time," Neumayr told Fanatik.

“I was 16 and had received offers from Barcelona, Chelsea and Arsenal but Manchester United were a special club.

"I never regret joining United over the other clubs that made offers, it was a great experience and I made great friends like Gerard Pique who is the godfather of my child."
