Mario Mandzukic says he's excited by the "challenge" of joining AC Milan.

Milan are top of Serie A after 18 games and the former Juventus striker is impressed by the young Rossoneri side.

“I'm ready for this challenge, it's important for me to be ready for the team as soon as possible," he said at his presentation press conference.

“I'm very happy to be at Milan and I have been preparing for this opportunity. At Milanello, there's a really nice atmosphere, it's nice to be there.

“I want to do the best I possibly can.

“I will play alongside these young people. I'm a professional, I want to do my job the best possible way."

Mandzukic said he's ready to make a difference together with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Zlatan and I have many games in our legs and we are experts," he said. “It's important to inject fear, protect the teammates and then fight, as everyone in the group does."
