Boca Juniors defender Marcos Rojo has been in touch with former Manchester United teammate Edinson Cavani.
Rojo ended his six-and-a-half year stint with United by joining Boca in the January transfer window.
Cavani has been linked with a move to the Argentine giants.
His father was recently quoted saying the Uruguayan was unhappy in England.
And Rojo says it would be great for Argentinian football if the 34-year-old joined Boca.
Asked about Cavani in a post-match interview, Rojo told TNT Sports : "I spoke with him. I played a little with him. We were together for four or five months.
"He is a great professional and if he reaches Argentine football, he would be a great star that would do Argentine football good."
