Marcelo was delighted with the manner of Real Madrid's draw with Arsenal.

Real went onto to win the game in a penalty shootout.

Marcelo said, "It's always a pleasure to play here. It's hard for us because we come from a tough preseason, we have one less game but today we've been better. The goal is to improve every game.

"Madrid has this DNA of never giving up, we have fought with one less. When Arsenal has also gone with ten everything has been matched. In the end we found the warrior spirit and we have managed to win."
