Real Madrid veteran Marcelo has held transfer talks with vice-president Jose Angel Sanchez.

El Partidazo de Cope says the pair met on Monday for an hour where Marcelo expressed his frustration over his current situation and the criticism he's receiving.

He admitted to Sanchez he would seek a move away this summer if circumstances did not improve.

While tied to Real until 2022, Marcelo doesn't expect to be held against his will should he push to leave.

Just last week, the veteran stated: "If I'm on the list of departures, they can pay me and everything will be settled. If the day comes when Real Madrid does not want me, I'm leaving."
