Real Madrid veteran Marcelo has responded to online criticism after their defeat to Girona.
A Real Madrid fan page on Instagram published an image that showed Los Blancos' last last nine league results with Marcelo as a starter, of which just one ended in a win.
Alongside it was a list of Sergio Reguilon's last nine matches, which have all resulted in victories for Madrid.
The caption of the photo read: "Why does Marcelo continue as a starter? I love him but, damn, we have to be realistic."
Evidently frustrated, the Brazilian himself responded sarcastically: "It's all my fault!!! We continue."
