Arsenal have handed a new contract to teenage goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
The 19-year-old custodian joined the Gunners from Italian side Atalanta in July 2005 and has yet to make a first-team appearance.
Mannone spent two months on loan at Championship side Barnsley last season where he made two appearances before injury cut short his Oakwell stay.
He has been named on the substitute's bench for two of the Gunners' Carling Cup fixtures this season.
"Arsenal can today confirm goalkeeper Vito Mannone has signed a new contract," read a brief statement.
"Everyone at Arsenal wishes Vito continued success in his time at the club."
