Mannone form forces Sunderland rethink for QPR's Julio Cesar

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has gone cold on QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

Poyet is reconsidering a move for QPR keeper Julio Cesar after Vito Mannone's heroics at Everton on Boxing Day.

Julio Cesar's £50,000-a-week wages are beyond the Sunderland budget at this stage of the year, particularly if former Arsenal keeper Mannone continues to perform as he did in the shock 1-0 victory at Goodison Park, says the Daily Mail.
