Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini will give captain Carlos Tevez until Saturday morning to prove his fitness for the FA Cup.
The Argentine maestro returned to action with just under 10 minutes of the 1-0 win over Tottenham on Wednesday after a hamstring injury but is not a certainty for the Wembley Stadium clash with Stoke City.
Mancini insists Tevez will be given time to prove himself right for City's big chance to break their trophy drought.
"Carlos is getting better - we have another two days to decide whether he can play or not," he said.
"At the moment I don't know. We will see what happens after these two days and decide on Saturday morning."
