Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney has denied losing his rag after being subbed during the Champions League final.

Rooney was replaced by Nani in extra time and threw his top to one side.

But Roo insisted: "I didn't throw my shirt down. I took my shirt off to put a dry top on to keep myself warm."

Rooney was all smiles as his team-mates won the penalty shootout.

He said: "It's a great feeling. Chelsea are always tough opponents and it was a difficult game.

"It could have gone either way and no one could have complained about the other team winning."
